Nurse Practitioner Role at Sydney Children's Hospitals Network

Our healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to deliver high-quality, child-centered care within our specialty service. Working autonomously and collaboratively with other healthcare providers, you will provide innovative and flexible healthcare delivery that complements existing services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive health assessments, initiate and interpret diagnostic investigations to inform patient care
  • Diagnose and prescribe pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions, collaborating with medical specialists and other healthcare professionals as needed
  • Clinically manage patients requiring hospital admission or discharge in a clinic or community setting, prioritizing safety and quality of care
  • Foster a culture of health promotion and disease prevention, encouraging healthy behaviors and outcomes
  • Drive clinical service improvement through research and quality improvement initiatives, enhancing patient experiences and outcomes
  • Provide education and support to clinicians, promoting ongoing development and refinement of clinical practice
Requirements:
  • Australian citizenship or permanent residency
  • Working with Children Check (WWCC) issued by the Office of the Children's Guardian
  • NSW Health vaccination and screening requirements
