Our café team is seeking a skilled and friendly Food Service Assistant to help create a welcoming space where residents, their families, and staff can connect and enjoy quality refreshments.

- Care and service are at the heart of our café experience. As a Food Service Assistant, you will deliver exceptional customer service to residents, visitors, and staff, ensuring a positive dining experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver exceptional customer service to residents, visitors, and staff by greeting guests, taking orders, and handling transactions with professionalism and care.
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including barista-made coffee and tea, in a clean and organized environment.
- Assist with light food preparation and food service, maintaining high standards of hygiene and cleanliness.
- Support menu updates to reflect resident preferences and dietary needs, promoting inclusivity and respect for all individuals.
- Maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of the café, including tables, counters, and equipment, adhering to food safety and health regulations.
- Monitor inventory and restock café supplies as required, ensuring seamless operations and efficient service delivery.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and health regulations, upholding the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction.
About You:
- We seek candidates with previous experience as a Barista, who possess strong customer service and communication skills.
- Candidates should be comfortable multi-tasking between coffee making, food service, and customer engagement, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
- A background in hospitality or aged care is highly regarded, but not essential.
- The ideal candidate must hold a minimum Food Safety Certificate, demonstrate a reliable and professional approach to work, and possess excellent interpersonal skills with a friendly and approachable manner.
- A genuine interest in enhancing the daily experience of our residents is essential, as is a current Police Check (or willingness to obtain).
