Wildlife Animal Welfare Specialist

Monash University, a leading institution in Australia, is seeking a dedicated individual to join its Animal Ethics Committee as a Category C member.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in furthering the welfare of animals, particularly in relation to wildlife and native species. They will also possess a good understanding of animal welfare principles and be able to apply this knowledge to ensure the humane treatment of animals in research projects.
The role requires the ability to contribute to AEC meetings and related processes, with effective communication and interpersonal skills being essential. Additionally, the candidate should be proficient in using online systems to read, interpret, and comment on meeting materials.

The estimated salary for this position is approximately $65,000 - $85,000 AUD per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
To be eligible, candidates must have established experience in animal welfare, preferably in relation to wildlife and native species. Membership of an animal welfare organization is highly favorable, but not required.
