Crowne Plaza Canberra is currently seeking an accomplished Chef de Partie to lead our kitchen brigade in delivering exceptional breakfast service. With a focus on high-volume catering and buffet operations, this role presents a unique opportunity for a skilled CDP to showcase their expertise.

This position involves coordinating the preparation, production, and presentation of breakfast service, including buffet and room service. You will be responsible for supervising and guiding a team of up to 5 chefs and stewards, ensuring quality, timeliness, and compliance with HACCP and IHG standards.

A typical day would include managing mise-en-place, service readiness, and cleanliness of the breakfast kitchen. Additionally, you may be required to support other outlets and meal periods when necessary, including events and dinner service.

The ideal candidate will have experience as a CDP or strong Demi Chef in a high-volume hotel or resort environment, particularly in buffet breakfast operations. Confidence working with large-scale catering and handling live stations, bulk prep, and short-order cooking are essential skills for success in this role.

Required qualifications include a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification. Leadership skills with the ability to mentor and motivate junior chefs are also crucial. A "can-do" attitude, professionalism under pressure, and pride in presentation are highly valued attributes.
