About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Light Vehicle Mechanic to join our team on a 14/7 roster.

This is a permanent full-time position that offers a range of benefits, including camp facilities and opportunities for training and development.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in automotive trade, with experience in maintenance, breakdowns and component change outs. They will also possess excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively as part of a team.

As a member of our team, you will be responsible for performing servicing, repair and maintenance of mobile fleet and other equipment, as well as providing technical information to staff and operations personnel.

The Yilgarn Iron Ore Project is located in Western Australia and offers a unique opportunity to work on a diverse range of mining equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on mobile fleet and other equipment
  • Conduct technical inspections and provide estimates for jobs
  • Source technical information from reference manuals and computer-based systems
  • Maintain good housekeeping standards at all times
Requirements
  • Automotive Trade (Light Vehicle Mechanical) or relevant equivalent qualification
  • Post-trade experience working in the Mining or Heavy Earth Moving industry
  • Experience in general maintenance, breakdowns, component change outs and servicing of Toyota vehicles
  • High regard for and practice of health and safety at all times
