Family Preservation Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and culturally safe individual to work with small numbers of at-risk families.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will undertake an initial assessment of family strengths and needs, develop case plans that empower families to make lasting change, build upon their resilience to reduce the risk of significant harm and make referrals to appropriate networks.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Undertake assessments of family strengths and needs
  • Develop case plans that build on the family's resilience to enable them to overcome identified risks
  • Provide intensive home visiting and interventions
  • Support families in shaping their next chapter through evidence-informed practices, partnering with other services

Requirements:

  • Relevant industry experience and/or tertiary qualification in Social Work, Welfare or Psychology is highly desirable
  • Ability to actively and respectfully engage and assess Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander families
  • Experience identifying and addressing child protection concerns
  • High level written and verbal communication skills
  • Current driver's license
