Technical Leadership Specialist for Engineering Operations

As the Director of Engineering, you will lead and inspire a team of engineering managers and individual contributors, fostering an inclusive and collaborative culture. You'll play a pivotal role in ensuring that the platform is not only stable and high-performing but also adaptable to the evolving needs of the business and customers.

Your Responsibilities- Team Leadership
- Manage and inspire a team of engineering managers and individual contributors, fostering an inclusive and collaborative culture.
- Attract, retain, and develop top engineering talent, while mentoring the team on best practices and company values.
- Collaborate with Directors of Product, Design, and other Engineering Directors to ensure a cohesive strategy and seamless execution.
- Facilitate communication and alignment across departments, ensuring efficient delivery of projects.
- Oversee and optimize our full-stack JavaScript environment, including Node.js, React, and other modern frameworks.
- Ensure our JavaScript-based systems are scalable, maintainable, and capable of supporting both front-end and back-end requirements.
- Ensure the stability, performance, and scalability of our platform, with a focus on website speed and mobile app responsiveness.
- Champion best practices for continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Optimize engineering processes, tools, and methodologies to drive velocity and efficiency.
- Monitor and refine engineering workflows to maximize productivity and deliver high-quality results.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to the CTO and the executive team, providing insights and recommendations on engineering matters.
- Support strategic decision-making and long-term planning with a focus on innovation and scalability.
What We Offer
- A competitive salary of $180,000 - $220,000 per annum, depending on experience.
