
Data Center Operations Expert

The role of a Data Center Engineer involves working within the data center industry, acquiring knowledge and experience through hands-on work and classroom training.
This is a 12-month fixed-term appointment with potential to be converted into a full-time position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Attain expertise in data center operations via on-site experience and classroom instruction.
- Collaborate closely with on-site management staff and contractors, ensuring that all services provided are consistent with established procedures, practices, and local laws.
- Maintain performance benchmarks, analyze results, and prepare reports on the entire critical facility infrastructure operations and maintenance.
- Generate Change Management requests and Incident Management tickets for the DCEO team as directed.
- Acquire and contribute to documentation related to business and facility operations.
- Assist with rack installation and power/cooling provisioning within given constraints.
- Participate in routine maintenance and emergency services for various critical systems such as switchgear, generators, UPS systems, power distribution equipment, chillers, cooling towers, computer room air handlers, building monitoring systems, etc.
- Support the management of Facility assets and provide infrastructure and inventory asset management as required.
- May attend Construction and Operational Meetings as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with Work Orders and review contractual SLAs.
- Interact with Infra Ops teams for day-to-day operational needs.
- Responsible for resolving any engineering or services-related issues within the infrastructure.
- Deliver exceptional customer satisfaction and service.
