About the Role

This pivotal position plays a crucial role in implementing placement and stakeholder engagement strategies for Acknowledge Education's Community Services Higher Education and VET programs. Reporting directly to the Industry Engagement Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing, developing, and managing local industry partnerships to ensure high-quality field placement opportunities for our students.

Key Responsibilities

  • Local Industry Engagement & Partnership Development
    • Source and secure local placement opportunities that meet the needs of our students and partners.
    • Collaborate with lecturers and trainers to ensure compliance with ACWA requirements and negotiate mutually beneficial Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) with partners.
    • Work closely with the Industry Engagement Manager to execute engagement plans and regional strategies, driving industry partnerships and placement opportunities.
  • Student-Centric Approach
    • Proactively manage resolution of agent relationships matters, escalating student-related concerns to senior lecturers as needed.
    • Collect, analyze, and utilize feedback from agencies to enhance the student experience and improve processes.
    • Maintain strong industry relationships to assess the quality and effectiveness of student education, ensuring that our programs meet the evolving needs of the community.
  • Compliance
    • Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to ensure that the Student Handbook is always up-to-date and compliant with relevant regulations.
    • Ensure that all placement vacancies are thoroughly vetted by senior lecturers to guarantee the highest standards of student education.

About You

  • Proven experience in business development and/or stakeholder engagement, with a strong track record of building and maintaining industry partnerships.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, balancing multiple demands and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends to meet deadlines and support the needs of the team.
  • In-depth understanding of community services or related sectors, with experience in placement processes and industry partnerships.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with industry partners, students, and colleagues.
  • Proficiency in utilizing relevant technology and reporting tools to drive engagement and placement strategies.
  • Willingness to travel as required, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality education and services to our students and partners.
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritizing tasks and managing competing demands in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
