Key Role:

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Arboriculture Specialist to join our team in maintaining and developing the city's green spaces.

About the Position:

This position involves planting, pruning, and removing trees in streetscapes, parks, and reserves. Key responsibilities include ensuring arboriculture improvements through regular tree inspections and pruning.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining high standards of safety, presentation, and public satisfaction in open spaces
  • Ensuring arboriculture improvements through regular tree inspections and pruning
  • Responding to emergency situations involving fallen or damaged trees
  • Operating Elevated Work Platforms (EWP) for maintenance tasks

Qualifications:

  • Experience in horticultural practice, including open space maintenance
  • High level of knowledge of best practice tree pruning and felling techniques
  • Certificate in Arboriculture, Horticulture, or significant demonstrated vocational experience
  • Current Motor Vehicle Driver's Licence (Class MR or greater)
  • Chainsaw competency ticket
  • Elevated work platform competency ticket
  • Work Zone Traffic Management Certificate
