Position Overview

The Gardener is responsible for maintaining the outdoor spaces at our residential care facilities. This role involves collaboration with the Maintenance Team to ensure that all outdoor areas are safe, beautiful, and conducive to relaxation and enjoyment.

Job Description

We are seeking a Gardener to join our maintenance team. As part of our team, you will play a crucial role in enhancing outdoor spaces for residents, staff, and visitors.

You will be responsible for general garden maintenance, overseeing irrigation systems, assisting residents with their outdoor spaces, and implementing seasonal planting strategies.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A relevant qualification in horticulture, landscaping, or equivalent experience
  • Proven experience in garden and grounds maintenance, including lawn care and planting
  • Knowledge of safe handling and use of gardening tools, equipment, and chemicals
  • Strong communication skills to effectively engage with residents and staff
  • Physically fit and capable of performing manual tasks in varying weather conditions
  • A current South Australian C Class unrestricted driver's license
  • A National Criminal Screening Check and Manual Handling Certificate
