Job Overview:

This is a unique opportunity to contribute to strategic initiatives and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements in the technology, digital, data, and commercial sectors.

As a seasoned legal professional, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our material service providers (MSP) project to uplift existing contracts with MSPs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, commercially pragmatic legal services to the MSP uplift project.
  • Advise on technology contracts, SaaS, cloud, licensing, cybersecurity, and data governance.
  • Support legal risk management in digital transformation, procurement, and innovation projects.
  • Collaborate on privacy, data protection, and cybersecurity compliance.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial and technology agreements.
  • Lead negotiations with external parties to balance legal risk and business goals.
  • Partner with internal teams including Technology, Procurement, Privacy, and Risk.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders, enabling business outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and internal policies.
  • Contribute to the development of legal templates, playbooks, and knowledge resources.

Requirements:

  • Admitted to practice in Australia with a current practising certificate.
  • 10+ years post-qualification experience in technology, commercial, or corporate law.
  • In-house experience in a regulated industry is highly desirable.
  • Proven ability to draft and negotiate complex technology and commercial contracts.
  • Familiarity with privacy, cybersecurity, and data governance frameworks.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
