Inclusion and Learning Support Leader
Role OverviewThis leadership position is crucial in supporting students with disabilities, promoting learning and wellbeing growth, and fostering a culture of inclusivity within the school community.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing staff capacity to support students with disabilities, utilising data to improve outcomes, and collaborating with allied health professionals to provide reasonable adjustments.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement evidence-informed practices to promote learning and wellbeing growth for students with disabilities
- Foster positive relationships with students, families, and staff to collaborate on reasonable adjustments and maximise learning and wellbeing outcomes
- Utilise data to inform the Strategic Improvement Plan and develop measures to support students with disabilities
- Successful teaching experience with the capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning, and classroom practice
- Knowledge of curriculum, assessment, and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality inclusive teaching and learning programs
- Educational leadership skills to build capacity and manage performance of individuals and teams
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships and engage students, staff, and parents
- Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning
- Knowledge of and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal education policies
