Lead Program Design and Delivery

The University of New South Wales is seeking a skilled Manager, Program Design & Delivery to support the Australian Research Data Commons (ARDC) in managing, monitoring, and delivering multiple national-scale projects and programs. As a key member of the National Coordination Business Unit, you will lead program design and delivery activities, addressing challenges and working closely with the ARDC's Project Management Office, Business Unit Management, and senior Strategic Pillar Managers to define necessary resources.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead program design and delivery activities across multiple national-scale projects and programs
  2. Manage, monitor, and deliver projects and programs to achieve strategic objectives
  3. Work closely with the ARDC's Project Management Office, Business Unit Management, and senior Strategic Pillar Managers to define necessary resources
  4. Participate in ARDC planning activities to ensure efficient team resource allocation and address resource contentions according to ARDC procedures
  5. Manage 15-25 external ARDC staff within the National Coordination Business Unit, with a dotted line to the Director, National Coordination (ARDC)

Requirements

  • Extensive leadership and people management skills in a culturally and geographically diverse environment
  • Specialist knowledge in an area of national digital research infrastructure or a related discipline
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to work in a dynamic environment with competing priorities
  • Strong consultation, influencing, and negotiation skills, with a proven ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes
