Design Manager

As part of our energy transition strategy, we are seeking an experienced Design Manager to lead our project design and scope delivery.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the project design and scope from tender to practical completion, ensuring timely delivery, compliance with customer requirements, and maximum efficiency in resource utilization. This role can be based in Brisbane or Sydney.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain the Design Plan for the project duration.
- Coordinate design elements among design team members.
- Monitor design resource allocation and adequacy.
- Ensure necessary reviews, verifications, and validations are planned and conducted.
- Ensure design compliance with safety, environmental, construction, commissioning, and operating requirements.
Requirements:
- 4-year degree qualification to Bachelor status in Engineering.
- Engineering degree in Electrical or Civil/Structural preferred.
- Prior experience managing large utilities projects, particularly High Voltage substations and/or transmission lines.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize demands, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
