Food Service Assistant Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Food Service Assistant. This role involves providing food services under the direction and supervision of the Cook/Chef Manager.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and serve meals as appropriate and in accordance with care plans
  • Ensure a clean working environment in accordance with infection control guidelines
  • Ensure correct food handling techniques are used at all times

  • Requirements:
  • Reliable, punctual and a team player
  • Knowledge of food safety programs
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently within a team environment and independently as required
  • At least 2 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in the health industry
  • Customer services ethos with a focus on quality service
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Empathy with the elderly
  • Full Australian working rights and ability to pass a national police clearance
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, sometimes on short notice
