Job Title:

Heavy Vehicle Operator


Job Description:

The primary focus of this role is to operate trucks and mounted cranes for the work teams carrying out construction and maintenance of water mains, sewer mains, pump stations, and water and wastewater treatment plants.

Laboring duties and operating plant equipment, such as backhoes, excavators, and forklifts, are also required. Organizing, loading, and delivering materials from trucks, including operation of cranes and slinging loads, is another key responsibility.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records and logs and liaising with customers and internal teams to ensure smooth operations.


Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Class HC Drivers Licence
  • Dangerous Goods Drivers Licence
  • Truck Mounted Crane Operator Certificate of Competence equivalent to Class C2 WorkCover Certificate
  • High Risk Forklift Ticket
  • Backhoe Ticket (LB/LL or equivalent)
  • Excavator Ticket (LB/LL or equivalent)
  • Hazardous Goods and Workplace Substances Licence
  • Class B Non-Friable Asbestos Removal
  • Dogman Ticket
