Elderly Transport Specialist

As a transportation specialist, you will play a vital role in providing opportunities for social connections, enjoyable activities, and reduced isolation among residents.

About the Role

This is an extremely rewarding position contributing to enhancing the quality of life, sense of security, companionship, fun, and relaxation for our elderly residents. You will be responsible for:

  • Pick up and drop off elderly residents from various locations while providing assistance with access and egress from the vehicle as required.
  • Review suitable venues in the community that meet the needs of our elderly residents.
  • Maintain and clean the assigned vehicle.

To be successful, you will have:

  • Previous experience driving passenger vehicles.
  • A current Light Rigid (LR/MR) Licence.
  • A current First Aid certificate or willingness to obtain it.
  • The ability to work a variety of shifts.
  • A willingness to work flexible hours to coordinate/attend after-hours events.
  • Experience working with elderly clients is desirable.
