The Fundraising Events Specialist plays a critical role in driving income growth, engagement, and awareness through the development, implementation, and evaluation of fundraising events.

This specialist will lead the planning, coordination, and execution of all fundraising events, including:

  • 24-Hour Treadmill Challenge
  • A Very Special Ride
  • Footy Finals Fever
  • A Very Special Ladies Lunch
  • A Very Special Golf Day
  • Piggy Bank Appeal (PBA)

The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in fundraising, event management, and/or non-profit development, with experience managing teams, leading cross-functional projects, and building relationships with key stakeholders.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing a comprehensive fundraising events strategy to deliver income, participation, and engagement
  • Overseeing the planning and execution of all fundraising events, ensuring seamless delivery and alignment with organisational goals and community engagement objectives
  • Collaborating with other departments to secure and retain event sponsors
  • Ensuring integrated marketing and fundraising plans are developed for each event to drive participation, engagement, and income
  • Identifying and implementing growth opportunities to improve supporter experience and maximise net return of each event and PBA

Additionally, the successful candidate will demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills, ability to work well under pressure, show initiative and self-actualisation, and embody our organization's values and mission.
