Job Description

We are seeking an experienced finance professional to lead our financial advisory team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing timely financial advice supporting executive leadership with business decision making, business evaluation and strategic planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Effectively communicate the performance of each area of the business including energy generation and energy markets.
  • Oversee the preparation and approval of financial reports and financial control deliverables as well as balance sheet and cash flow, ensuring all balances are properly reconciled and cash flow is understood.
  • Work with the executive leadership team to develop budgets and strategic plans.
  • Ensure capital frameworks are understood and adhered to by reporting on all projects present and future.
  • Provide business case support and critical review to all projects in line with capital policy.
  • Ensure capital costs have been capitalized in line with policy.

Requirements:

  • 15+ years at a senior finance level with extensive experience in financial markets, project finance, capital management and financial management.
  • Background in financial instruments and derivative reporting and prepared business cases, done economic analysis and supported executive decision making.
  • Experience in mergers and acquisitions and/or the development of utility scale renewable and firming projects (solar, wind, batteries, thermal) is highly desirable.

Salary: $200,000 - $250,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Location: Sydney or Melbourne, other locations considered.
