Job Profile:

We are seeking a skilled Data Governance Specialist to join our Defence division at Service Stream.

This is a permanent full-time position that could be based at any of the main defence bases in the Northern Territory or from our Melbourne Head Office on Collins Street.

The successful candidate will play a key role in building the culture of our new team and will have access to skill enhancement through our online learning system and onsite training.

The ideal candidate will have minimum 5 years' experience in data governance, preferably within a defence or large multi-site asset management environment.

  • Manage the GEMS Data Load across multiple bases on a state-wide contract
  • Oversight of data provisioning for Contract Change Proposals (CCPs) and maintenance planning
  • Guidance on loading, storage, and accuracy of all asset-related data, ensuring integrity and consistency across all operational platforms

The successful candidate will have excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills, strong understanding of data provisioning for Contract Change Proposals (CCPs), and proven experience with GEMS or similar Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement data governance frameworks to ensure data accuracy and integrity
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve data quality and reduce data inconsistencies
  • Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in data governance or related field
  • Strong understanding of data provisioning for Contract Change Proposals (CCPs)
  • Proven experience with GEMS or similar Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) systems
