We are seeking an exceptional leader to spearhead the development of a critical infrastructure project. As the Program Director, you will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of this high-profile initiative, ensuring it is delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

About the Project

The Bruce Highway Targeted Safety Program aims to improve safety along one of Australia's most critical transportation routes. This ambitious project involves a range of measures, including wide centre line treatments, audio tactile line marking, intersection upgrades, rest areas, pavement strengthening, overtaking lanes, and upgrades to narrow structures.

The program is guided by the Bruce Highway Advisory Council and both levels of government, with a focus on reducing crash severity and frequency, particularly between Gympie and Cairns.

Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of professionals to ensure successful project delivery
  • Manage stakeholder engagement with key government agencies and other stakeholders
  • Identify and harness necessary expertise to deliver project objectives
  • Collaborate with broader project teams across the state and PMO to ensure consistency of delivery and technical practices
  • Investigate and resolve complex engineering and contractual issues associated with the project
Requirements
  • Proven experience in program management, preferably in a similar industry
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Able to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities
  • Experience with project management methodologies and tools
