Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced and innovative Senior Transportation Infrastructure Planner to join our team in Rockhampton. This exciting opportunity will see you working on a diverse range of transport and general civil planning and design projects, establishing strong client relationships, and leading high-performing teams.

We are looking for a future leader with significant experience in transport infrastructure, including project management and technical leadership. Your expertise in Australian Standards and ability to apply your knowledge when delivering projects will be highly valued.

You will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with engineers across Australia, delivering key transport design services on various transport infrastructure projects. As a team leader, you will manage, train, and mentor junior team members, ensuring their professional development and financial reporting on projects.

In this role, you will also actively participate in business and strategic planning activities, collaborating with internal stakeholders. You will have a bachelor's degree in civil engineering with RPEQ and at least 12 years of experience in a consultancy, local council, or state government department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead general civil work, including road design and urban precinct planning projects for government and private sector clients.
  • Act as Project Manager / Technical Lead on various projects, including business development practices, proposal writing, and bidding for civil infrastructure projects.
  • Work closely with engineers across Australia, delivering key transport design services on various transport infrastructure projects.
  • Manage, train, and mentor junior team members to aid their professional development and financial reporting on projects.
  • Participate in business and strategic planning activities, collaborating with internal stakeholders.
