Job Title

This role is a leadership position within our transport infrastructure projects. We are seeking an experienced design manager to lead projects and project teams on complex road infrastructure projects.

About the Role
  • Lead and manage design of complex transport infrastructure projects, particularly major road projects.
  • Contribute to long-term plans aligned with our business strategy.
  • Procure work, negotiate contracts, and ensure successful execution of projects.
  • Foster strong relationships with clients, government agencies, contractors, and subconsultants.
  • Oversee and coordinate design teams across multiple disciplines and offices.

This is a challenging opportunity for a senior design manager who wants to make a meaningful impact in the transport industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and deliver design projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and codes of practice.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with design projects.

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual who can contribute to the success of our transport infrastructure projects.

What You Will Need
  • A recognized tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Significant experience in design management of major transport infrastructure projects.
  • Chartered membership of Engineers Australia (or equivalent) or significant progress toward membership.
  • Expertise in relevant legislation, regulations, and codes of practice.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
