Commercial Debt Recovery Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Commercial Debt Recovery Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for recovering commercial debts from external third-party debtors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recover commercial debts from third-party debtors within prescribed time frames and authority.
- Manage debt recoveries for our insured client portfolio.
- Communicate and negotiate with third-party subcontractors.
- Handle imported and exported debt collection mandates.
- Escalate non-amicable collections and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with Claims team in developing pre-claim recovery strategies.
- Ensure finance KPIs are met and recoveries are processed accurately.
- Conduct service supplier audits with third-party agents.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field: Business, Law, or Finance-related discipline.
- At least 2 years of debt recovery experience, preferably in an insurance recovery industry.
- Experience in credit control or accounts receivable.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Understanding of corporate recovery processes and insolvency procedures.
- Proactive attitude.
