Federal Government Product Manager

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Product Owner to join our client in this 6 month contract with an additional 24 months of extensions offered.
Australian Citizens with the ability to obtain a Baseline security clearance will be considered for this role.
The Product Owner will take a long term view, identify future system needs and, based on business needs, identify priorities and plan a program of work to address these.
Key responsibilities include engaging with business areas to develop an understanding of their needs, ensuring feedback from users and other evidence informs the Product Backlog and Product Roadmap.
The Product Owner will also develop and maintain the Product Backlog and ensure it is prioritised such that it maximises value and is traceable to the MVP.
Supporting business change activities to encourage adoption of the system and managing user testing activities to assess the effectiveness of system or platform changes from the user's perspective are also key responsibilities.
Business Areas must be kept informed, escalating issues and proposing solutions on the basis of good judgment and an understanding of priorities.
Required Skills and QualificationsPrevious Federal Government experience is desirable for this role.
