Account Executive Role

We are seeking a results-driven Account Executive to partner with Australia's Federal Government and drive better, faster, and more transparent decisions through data.

About the Role
  • This is an exciting opportunity for you to own the sales cycle for a defined set of federal government accounts, from identifying opportunities to closing strategic deals.
  • You will develop tailored account plans aligned to government goals, procurement processes, and stakeholder priorities.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Build strong relationships with key public sector decision-makers, influencers, and executives.
  2. Collaborate cross-functionally with teams to deliver impactful, value-led engagements.
  3. Showcase Tableau's capabilities in solving real-world government data challenges—driving transformation across services and departments.
  4. Maintain high standards of CRM forecasting and account documentation, enabling proactive and data-driven sales strategies.
Requirements
  • A successful track record in enterprise or public sector solution selling, ideally in SaaS, analytics, or data platforms.
  • Prior experience working with or selling into federal government agencies (APS experience highly desirable).
  • Understanding of government procurement, funding cycles, and digital transformation objectives.
  • Strong interpersonal, influencing, and stakeholder engagement skills, especially within structured, complex organisations.
  • A Canberra-based team player who is comfortable leading engagements with government clients and collaborating across teams.
