Job Title: Cemetery Maintenance Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Cemetery Maintenance Specialist. As a member of our crew, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing council-controlled cemeteries within Ipswich.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, has a keen eye for detail, and takes pride in their work. You will be operating various mowing equipment safely and efficiently, performing regular inspections on equipment, and ensuring lawns and green spaces are maintained to a high standard.

The role also involves completing service requests as required, adhering to safety protocols and procedures, and utilizing a brush cutter as needed.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience in Lawn Maintenance (Cemetery experience highly regarded)
  • A valid Manual Drivers Licence
  • A White Card
  • The ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team and/or individually
  • Punctuality and reliability
  • The willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions ranging from hot summer days to cooler winter months
  • A strong work ethic and commitment to completing tasks efficiently and to the highest standards
