Program Delivery Leader

As a seasoned Program Delivery Leader, you will drive project governance across multiple squads and streams, overseeing the Horizon Project Management Office (PMO). This critical role involves working closely with the Metcash Program Director to ensure the Program Horizon is delivered on time and within scope.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategic vision, goals, and objectives for the PMO in alignment with the Program's overall strategy
  • Establish and maintain effective governance frameworks, policies, and procedures for project management activities
  • Oversee workstream management and dependency alignment for external dependent projects, ensuring projects are prioritized, resourced appropriately, and delivered on time and within budget
  • Conduct regular performance reviews to evaluate project risks, resource allocation, and progress towards goals
  • Promote project management methodologies, standards, and best practices
  • Collaborate with workstream leads, project managers, and functional leaders to allocate resources based on project priorities and availability
  • Establish strong relationships with key stakeholders to understand their needs, expectations, and strategic objectives
  • Develop and implement robust risk, issue, dependency, and decision management frameworks
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure Program, workstream, and project performance
Requirements:
  • Proven experience managing program delivery in complex matrix environments
  • Advanced planning and organization skills
  • Disciplined approach to program and project management, with flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances
  • Ability to influence and gain stakeholder buy-in through effective communication and relationship building
  • Strong strategic planning and commercial acumen to inform key business decisions
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills to assist the business in decision-making
  • Comfort working with both waterfall and agile methodologies as required
  • Project Management Certification and/or Qualifications
  • Intermediate MS Project Schedule skills
  • Experience in the FMCG industry is desirable
