Job Title: Environmental Operations CoordinatorAwarding Winning Team seeks a highly motivated and experienced Project Officer to join our team. As a key member of the Environmental Operations branch, you will be responsible for administering and reporting on contractor operations, negotiating business outcomes, and investigating customer requests.Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer and report on contractor operations to ensure compliance with legislation and quality of work.
  • Negotiate positive business outcomes through verbal and written communications with contractors and internal stakeholders regarding the Blue Heart estate.
  • Investigate and respond to customer requests in accordance with Council's Customer Charter.
  • Undertake inspections of Council's Blue Heart estate to identify and record safety and management issues.
Requirements:
  • Experience working alongside heavy machinery with sound knowledge of civil works processes.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and customer service skills and the ability to solve problems that require tact and diplomacy.
  • Substantial horticulture or natural area management experience; tertiary qualifications in a related field would be well regarded.
  • Physical agility and fitness are essential to perform labouring tasks, including frequent heavy lifting and bending.
