Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute a comprehensive business plan for Australia/New Zealand.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with global, regional, and local brokers to drive business growth.
- Recruit and develop a high-performing team of underwriters in relevant Lines of Business.
- Establish an efficient operating model to facilitate further growth plans in APAC.
The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing and growing Munich Re's presence in the Australian market.
This includes ensuring effective underwriting teams support and comply with the business plan for Australia, maximizing return on investment while maintaining our reputation and integrity.
Leadership Responsibilities- Represent Munich Re as the face and voice in Australia.
- Lead and motivate direct reports to implement our Australian business strategy and global underwriting strategy.
- Coordinate and maintain the underwriting team/s to achieve business objectives and targets.
