Job Description

This position requires a skilled professional to install, maintain and repair gas systems. The ideal candidate will have experience with propane and natural gas filling stations, as well as servicing gas appliances and related equipment.

  • Measure and mark reference points for installation of gas lines and equipment
  • Install and maintain meters, regulators and gas lines between the gas unit and gas meter
  • Prepare quotations and estimates for clients
  • Service and repair gas appliances and related equipment
  • Advise clients on standards, safety features and maintenance of gas units and systems
  • Test and adjust control mechanisms and check pipes and piping connections for gas leaks using gas detecting devices
  • Estimate costs and materials required for projects
  • Install and service propane and natural gas filling stations
  • Test and replace defective equipment or components
Certifications and Qualifications
  • Diploma in Gas Fitting or equivalent qualification
  • Valid driver's license
  • Criminal record check
Work Environment

The work environment is fast-paced and physically demanding, requiring the ability to stand for extended periods, bend, crouch and kneel.
