As a superintendent of rail ore car maintenance, you play a pivotal leadership role in the rolling stock maintenance team.
This position involves overseeing a team that drives exceptional maintenance outcomes for the WAIO ore car fleet.
It's an exciting opportunity that offers continued staff development and cutting-edge technologies to high-performing teams.

In this role, you will:
- Be committed to ensuring health, safety, environmental responsibility, and sustainable practices
- Coach operational discipline, drive high-performance execution, and enhance the technical knowledge of team members
- Ensure all teams adhere to established safety systems and procedures, providing coaching, mentorship, and talent development within the team
- Oversee the operation of the world-class semi-automated repair workshop, execute ore car servicing, scrapping, and component overhauls
- Monitor and drive compliance with maintenance execution processes
- Train and enable teams in BHP Operating System Principles and Practices, identifying and implementing impactful improvements
- Develop and execute medium-term plans, operational budgets, and initiate capital projects
- Prioritize creating a culture of care by being a visible safety leader, engaging, developing, and coaching your team
To excel in this role, you're an experienced maintenance professional who has managed large multiskilled teams and is driven to effect positive change.
With a proven collaborative style, you focus on strong team performance, stakeholder engagement, and reliable delivery of value to the operation.
The role offers flexible work arrangements with availability on a Residential (5:2) or FIFO (5:2 4:3) roster.
