About the Role

Central Australian Aboriginal Congress Aboriginal Corporation is seeking a highly skilled and knowledgeable Aboriginal female to fill the key leadership position of Aboriginal Cultural Advisor (Female).

This role is responsible for providing advice, mentoring, and education to staff and management across all Congress services and programs, with a focus on improving cultural safety, responsiveness, and knowledge.

The successful candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as intimate cultural and social knowledge of the Aboriginal community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide advice and guidance on cultural matters to staff and management
  • Develop and implement cultural education programs for staff and clients
  • Collaborate with the Male Aboriginal Cultural Advisor to foster a strong organisational culture
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures that promote cultural safety and responsiveness
