About the Role

The Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Children is a pivotal leadership position responsible for driving policy, engagement, and strategy development within the Children's Group at SHK. This role requires a trusted and respected visionary leader who can deliver transformation and results in complex policy settings.

The successful candidate will bring strategic insight and hands-on expertise to advance SHK's mission, leveraging their deep knowledge of service delivery and complex government-funded programs. They will excel in strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, and resource management, while building collaborative relationships and navigating challenges effectively.

This role is ideal for a passionate and dedicated leader who is committed to improving disability services and empowering people with disabilities to have choice and control over their lives. The ideal candidate will remain committed to driving social change and align with SHK's values of integrity, resilience, and dedication.

About the Organisation

SHK is an independent statutory agency responsible for implementing the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), one of the biggest social reforms since Medicare. The NDIS is designed to enhance the quality of life and increase economic and social participation for people with disability and provide peace of mind for every Australian.

The Children's Group is responsible for building Agency and sector capability to deliver outcomes for children with disability and those with substantial developmental delay in the NDIS. The successful candidate will contribute to decision making across the organisation to ensure a culture of high performance, delivery, and innovation within a dynamic and fast-moving environment.
