Job Opportunity: Research Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Research Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in health or clinical research and excellent communication skills.

The AERIAL Study is a vital child health research project investigating airway health outcomes. As a Research Assistant, you will be involved in conducting participant follow-up visits, collecting data and samples, and providing administrative support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct participant follow-up visits at home or at a clinic.
  • Collect nasal swabs, nasal brushings, and lung function testing.
  • Ensure all data and samples are collected, recorded, and stored in accordance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and research protocols.
  • Provide administrative support, including managing the study inbox, ordering supplies, and coordinating bookings.
  • Maintain strong relationships with study participants and families.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification in Nursing or a health-related field.
  • Current GCP certification and CPR certificate.
  • Experience with biological sample collection and data handling.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build rapport with diverse people.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and maintain high attention to detail.
