About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Food and Beverage Assistant to join our team at Cranbrook Care.

As a Food and Beverage Assistant, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional food service to our residents, ensuring that every meal is a delightful experience.

You will oversee the presentation of the dining room, manage staff to serve meals, and develop a trusting relationship with residents to ensure mealtime is enjoyable and sensitive to their diverse needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the presentation of the dining room to ensure food safety and premium service standards are met.
  • Manage the service of meals in the dining room, ensuring resident preferences, religious, and cultural backgrounds are respected.
  • Provide a communication link between care services and the kitchen to support ongoing outstanding care for residents.
  • Provide feedback on meals and resident enjoyment to the Executive Chef.

About You

We are looking for someone with a kind and compassionate nature, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.

You will have experience working in a kitchen environment, preferably in a medium to large organization or food service in a high-service restaurant.

You will be fluent in English, literate, and have a responsible approach to work procedures.

Key Requirements:

  • 1+ year experience working in a kitchen environment.
  • Experience working in a team environment.
  • Fluent spoken English and literate in English.
  • Previous experience in the health industry desirable.
