School Mental Health Specialist

We are seeking a qualified general or provisional registered psychologist to work in schools within the Brisbane West and Ipswich areas.
Role Overview:">This is an opportunity for experienced psychologists to make a real difference in supporting the mental health and wellbeing of students, parents, and communities in our schools.
Key Responsibilities:">- Provide individual and group counselling and therapeutic interventions with students, parents, and families.
- Administer specialized psych-educational assessments of students with learning and/or adjustment difficulties.
- Coordinate or assist in the implementation of professional development activities for teachers, parents, and other professionals.
- Support and manage diagnoses from external providers, monitoring students' progress.
- Assist school communities to respond to critical incidents and provide counseling and support to affected students.
- Identify needs and participate in the referral, coordination, and planning of services for children, parents, and families with other stakeholders.
- Qualifications as a Registered Psychologist (General or Provisional) or provisionally registered psychologist working under the supervision of a suitably qualified practitioner.
- Experience working with students, parents, and communities in a school setting.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Knowledge of assessment tools and therapeutic interventions relevant to child and adolescent mental health.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
