About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Care Worker to join our team at The Salvation Army Aged Care. As a Home Care Worker, you will provide high-quality care and support services to our customers who live in their own homes.

Your primary responsibility will be to deliver services with compassion, integrity, and dignity, enabling our customers to remain living at home independently. You will follow the tasks as directed per the Support Plan, including personal care, general housekeeping, and assistance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide support to clients with domestic assistance duties such as cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation
  • Assist clients with personal care support, including showering, toileting, and feeding assistance
  • Provide assistance with transportation for clients to appointments and for shopping and leisure outings
  • Build and maintain strong and effective relationships with clients and their families
  • Adhere to health and safety guidelines and policies to keep yourself and our clients safe
Requirements
  • Certificate III in Aged, Community Care or equivalent
  • Current driver's license
  • Reliable vehicle (including valid registration with minimal 3rd Party Insurance)
  • Consent to undertake the relevant Background Checks
  • Home care experience
