Job Title: Therapeutic Support Manager

The role of the Therapeutic Support Manager is to provide leadership and management to a team of support workers, ensuring that they are equipped to provide high-quality therapeutic care to children and young people in out-of-home care services.

This is a challenging yet highly rewarding role that requires a unique blend of skills and experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining rosters and staffing levels, providing day-to-day coordination of care for children and young people, and coordinating and monitoring the implementation of documentation, plans, and reviews.

The ideal candidate will have relevant management experience of children and young people with complex care needs due to trauma-based backgrounds. They will also have experience managing staff who regularly face crisis situations and knowledge and experience working within relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.

  • Essential Requirements:
    • Relevant management experience of children and young people with disabilities or complex care needs
    • Experience managing staff in crisis situations
    • Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures
  • Preferred Requirements:
    • Qualifications in a related field (e.g., social work, psychology)
    • Experience working with multidisciplinary teams
