Occupational Therapist Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team at Sunnybank Private Hospital.

This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional to make a real difference in the lives of our patients and contribute to the success of our hospital.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive Occupational Therapy services to a diverse range of diagnostic groups, prioritizing patient-centered care and goal-directed outcomes.
  • Assist with the treatment of acute patients across medical, surgical, and CCU wards, working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
  • Develop and implement effective programs to maximise occupational performance, promoting independence and well-being for patients.
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and program development within the Occupational Therapy Department and hospital.
  • Participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings and professional development activities to stay up-to-date with best practices and advancements in the field.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and students to share knowledge, expertise, and resources, fostering a supportive and inclusive work environment.

The ideal candidate will possess exceptional clinical practice skills in rehabilitation, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work autonomously and as part of a dynamic team.

Sunnybank Private Hospital offers a 111-bed facility on the Southside of Brisbane, providing acute medical, surgical, and rehabilitation services in a community-oriented setting.

Selection Criteria
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent qualification.
  • Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Postgraduate hospital experience is highly desirable, but not essential.
