About the Role

A Government Agency has a rare vacancy for an APS6 equivalent Developmental Editor to join their team.

This agency prides themselves on growing relationships with their community, with a strong focus on developing and nurturing their team to become the best they can be.

This opportunity is for a 6-month contract, immediate start.

Your New Role

Your new role as Developmental Editor will involve you possessing strong editorial skills, proofreading and an aptitude and a sound knowledge of the requirements for the delivery of publications in print and e-book formats.

  • managing allocated project resources, set priorities, and establish work plans, and evaluating the project outcomes
  • conducting high-level written work, using analytical tools, concepts, and relevant information
  • managing own output and co-ordinate input from others in contributing to project outputs
  • engaging with stakeholders on a range of issues, including complex and sensitive issues, to contribute to outcomes

  • publishing and/or editing experience
  • strong communication, liaison, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • self-motivated, creative, and experienced in working under pressure to meet deadlines
  • ability to identify and seek support for development needs
