Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Radiation Therapist to join our team at the Department of Health, Tasmania. As a Radiation Therapist, you will play a critical role in the planning and treatment of patients with cancer, working closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality radiation therapy treatment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver radiation therapy treatments to patients with cancer, using advanced technology and equipment.
  • Collaborate with Radiation Oncologists and other healthcare professionals to develop treatment plans and ensure seamless patient care.
  • Conduct patient assessments and develop individualized treatment plans, taking into account patient needs and preferences.
  • Operate and maintain radiation therapy equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of departmental policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Registration with the Medical Radiation Practice Board of Australia.
  • Experience in radiation therapy treatment planning and delivery.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and reports, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
