About the RoleWe are seeking a highly motivated and team-oriented Radiation Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team at Service Tasmania. As a Radiation Therapist, you will play a critical role in the planning and treatment of patients with x-rays, electrons, or radiation from sealed sources as prescribed by a Radiation Oncologist.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and deliver radiation therapy treatments to patients with cancer, using advanced technology and equipment.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including Radiation Oncologists, Medical Physicists, and other healthcare professionals, to provide high-quality patient care.
- Conduct patient assessments, develop treatment plans, and implement radiation therapy protocols.
- Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of radiation therapy policies and procedures.
- Registration with the Medical Radiation Practice Board of Australia.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
