About Our Role

As a senior psychologist or neuropsychologist, you will have the opportunity to drive best practices and enhance outcomes for consumers with complex needs. You will work in a supportive environment where you will contribute to supporting individuals with disabilities and mental health conditions who have historically had poor access to healthcare and supports that enable wellbeing and quality of life.

The Metro North - Intellectual, Developmental Disability Mental Health Service (IDDMHS) is a new community-based mental health service providing assessment, support, education, and training to treating teams, consumers, families/carers, and advanced healthcare professionals working with young people and adults with complex neurodevelopmental conditions and co-occurring mental health disorders.

  • Apply expert knowledge and evidence-based clinical management principles of cognitive, developmental, neurological, psychiatric, and sensory disabilities for consumers across the lifespan.
  • Deliver senior-level psychological or neuropsychological assessment, formulation, and brief intervention/positive behaviour support planning.
  • Provide expert guidance to service planning and lead the implementation of evidence-based reviews to design best practice.
  • Contribute to clinical governance and professional competence by providing senior-level training and supervision.
