About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Safety Specialist to join our team at BMD Group. As a key member of our HSEQ team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health, safety, environment, and quality of our projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement HSEQ standards that align with compliance and due diligence requirements
  • Conduct audits and inspections to ensure adherence to safety protocols
  • Collaborate with senior management to prepare reports and drive continuous improvement
  • Motivate and educate employees to champion best practice use of our systems
  • Develop work method statements, project plans, and inspection and test plans

Requirements:

  • Qualification in work health and safety (minimum of Certificate IV)
  • Knowledge of current legislation, standards, and industry requirements

Desirable Skills:

  • Qualifications in training and assessment
  • Prior experience in the construction industry
