Program Manager Job Description

Lead and deliver a suite of projects or a major program within our business. This is a pivotal role, responsible for overseeing multiple project streams, managing Project Managers, and building strong relationships with executive and senior stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define and plan programs/projects, ensuring robust initiation and delivery methodologies.
  • Oversee program delivery at a macro level, including risk, quality, change, and benefits management.
  • Build and manage effective relationships with business owners and senior stakeholders.
  • Lead procurement and vendor management activities, ensuring robust risk management.
  • Establish and manage governance for multi-project or program delivery.
  • Oversee budgeting, resourcing, and program management activities.
  • Lead and mentor project management teams to build capability and deliver outcomes.
  • Ensure high-quality communication and reporting to Project Boards and the Executive Group.
Required Skills and Qualifications

You'll be a great communicator with top-notch interpersonal skills. You'll also have:

  • Extensive experience in delivering projects/programs of significant scale, complexity, and organisational change, ideally within the investments or financial services domain.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in delivering investment-related programs, including regulatory reform, operational transformation, and strategic investment capability uplift.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Highly developed influencing and negotiation capabilities.
  • Strong leadership and team-building abilities, particularly in the context of organisational change.
