Key Account Manager Job Description

This role is responsible for launching new products in the Liver Disease portfolio and establishing strong professional relationships with key customers and healthcare professionals. You will provide approved product information and programs to improve patient outcomes, meet or exceed sales and market share targets, and work within ethical compliance rules.

  • Maintain expert scientific knowledge in your specialty area to provide value to customers using therapies.
  • Develop a deep understanding of patient pathways from diagnosis to treatment in hospital and/or community settings.
Responsibilities:
  1. Conduct market analysis to identify customer needs and preferences.
  2. Develop and implement tailored marketing strategies to achieve sales targets.
  3. Build and maintain external strategic relationships with key customers.
  4. Implement account management best practices to drive sales growth.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver territory action plans.
  6. Set and achieve ambitious account-level goals and objectives.
  7. Behave in a manner consistent with industry codes of conduct.
Qualifications:
  • Tertiary qualification in science, nursing, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated success in specialist therapeutic areas, particularly hepatology/gastroenterology.
  • Launch experience highly regarded.
  • Strong account management, superior selling competencies, and proven sales performance track record.
