Special Operations Science and Technology Adviser

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the role of Special Operations Science Advisor - Fairview. As a member of our team, you will play a critical part in providing science and technology advice to Special Operations Command.
In this position, you will work closely with our team to coordinate and lead science and technology support activities. Your primary responsibility will be to explore future concepts and technologies that can enhance Special Operations capabilities across various domains. You will also serve as Deputy Scientific Advisor for Special Operations Command on an as-required basis.
Your duties will include:
- Providing a local point of contact for Special Operations Command S&T interests and planning.
- Lining-managing and supervising a team of personnel to ensure day-to-day administration is handled efficiently.
- Engaging regularly with the CSOCOMD client as part of the SOSTA network.
- Working closely with Special Operations HQ personnel to identify and evaluate opportunities and prioritize S&T support requirements.
- Generating task plans and securing necessary resources to achieve desired outcomes.
About Our Work
The Land and Joint Warfare Division delivers innovation, science, and technology programs in support of the Land and Joint domains. We are responsible for several S&T programs, including Enabled Soldier, Joint Fires, Networks, Protected Manoeuvre, and Special Operations. This position sits within a small team of program-focussed LJW staff who coordinate the work of a larger group of scientists, technologists, and engineers across DSTG.
