About the RoleAs a Disability Support Specialist in our Gunnedah Hub and Community Access service, you will play a vital role in supporting and empowering individuals with disabilities to live a life of their choosing. You will provide a range of community services to assist clients in being actively involved in their local community, engaged in meaningful opportunities, and building relationships.
Key Responsibilities- Support clients to live an active lifestyle and participate in their community through the delivery of person-centered programs
- Work to behavior support plans by utilizing positive behavior strategies
- Assist and support clients with personal and hygiene care
- Communicate with families about clients' progress
- Perform household and manual handling tasks such as menu planning, cooking, and cleaning
- Maintain progress notes and record-keeping

As a positive and energetic individual, you will thrive in a fun and dynamic environment, valuing teamwork and collaboration.
